The Sky Train Bangkok

The Bangkok Sky Train at Asoke Station

The Bangkok Sky Train(BTS)

Bangkok has three mass transit systems. The Sky Train or BTS is one of them that runs above ground on an elevated track. There are two lines that criss-cross the city and follow main arterial roads.

Each sky train has three cars, which are air conditioned, but can be crowded at peak times, especially around the central Sukumvit area of the city.

The other two mass transit systems for getting around  Bangkok are the MRT(underground) and the new airport rail link between the city centre and BKK International Airport.

Jose, yes the MRT has been around for a while. It doesn’t cover the whole city but if you use it and BTS you can get around quite well.
