Burning Incense Sticks

burning incense sticks outside a Chinese shrine in Thailand

I don’t know about you but I love the smell of burning incense sticks. The smoke from the sticks seems to be able to permeate everywhere. Great for masking nasty smells too!

This shot is taken outside a Chinese shrine in Thailand and I tried to apply just the right amount of depth of field so the sticks appear almost to stand out from the photograph. I also wanted to capture the smoke rising.

The end result you can see, sort of spooky actually with the Buddha in the background just showing through.
