Living in a rural area of Thailand has some advantages especially with farm fresh produce. The Durian vendor in this photograph is one of the many visitors we get to our street from the local farming community.
Apart from delivering fresh produce to your door its also usually much cheaper than even the Thai market price.
Although the Durian’s are sold by the kilo a large fruit cost just 30 Baht and of course you get to select your own, splitting the sharp prickly fruit is all part of the service too.
