This huge Buddha image is a Wat Phanan Choeng in the ancient Thai city of Ayutthaya. It is very hard to photograph since it almost fills the room that it is housed in. To give you some idea of the size if you look in the Buddha’s hand you can see a man sitting down.
The building that houses the Buddha was actually built around the statue. The temple has a pleasant location on the banks of the Chao Phraya River so you can leave the crowds behind and watch the passing river traffic when you have had enough.
