I recently attended a Chofah ceremony at a local temple here in Thailand which was attended by several hundred people including these three soldiers complete with M16 rifles. Two of the soldiers appear deep in prayer while a third is perhaps thinking of other things.
Watching the soldiers pray made me wonder if Thai Buddhists have a special prayer for soldiers like those found in the West albeit in different religions.
