Pitcher Plant showing close up of the pod that catches small insects

I have a new Pitcher plant (Nepenthes gracilis)in my garden which is very prolific in producing the insect catching pods that give this plant its name. If you follow the link and compare photographs you will see that there are a few very subtle differences between the two plants I now have.

I used this photograph to try out the macro setting on my camera which had the kit 55mm lens fitted. I bracketed the exposure + & – 1 stop.

The lighting is so right that makes your macro shot a very good one.

I am using 55mm kit, but am not satisfied with those macro shots I have.

Rainfield try bracketing the exposure say plus 1 and minus 1 as a start, if the results are good chose the image that looks best and consider processing in something like GIMP(free) or PS and using each image as a layer and combining them.

I'm very much learning on this front but there are some excellent articles on the web.
