The Scaly-Breasted Munia(Lonchura punctulata) is a fairly common bird of Thailand. They nest all the year round and a pair are currently nesting in a my garden. I spotted one of the pair on an electricity cable waiting to fly down to the nest site.
In this shot you can clearly see the birds chest markings which lead to its slightly unusual name.
