Figurines inside a Thai Spirit house

Thai spirit houses come in all shapes and forms and usually include some dwellers. By that I mean small figurines. My neighbour just had a new spirit house put in the front garden and I noticed that the figures inside are a little different to normal.

If you look closely you can see the couple are wearing beachwear, so I guess any spirits living there will have a permanent feeling of being on holiday. Not far to the beach either since its only a couple of miles away.

    Sounds like your neighbor has a sense of humor. I like that. I'm more comfortable with people who don't take their religion too seriously. And that includes my fellow Catholics.

    Hilda its a typical Thai thing, you find the same humour in Thai temple art-I did a photo recently with footballers names on shirts on a temple wall.
