Green Slug Moth caterpillar Thailand

I found this green Slug Moth(Limacodidae) caterpillar hanging out in one of my flowering shrubs the other day. The name is derived from the way the caterpillar moves using locomotion (a bit like a maggot) rather than its legs.

Given that some larvae can sting(painful) I handled this specimen with due diligence. The strip on the body was yellow with blue edges which could well serve as a warning sign.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1000D 55mm Lens

This is a fat little one. Wonder how it looks like when it is able to fly.

Rainfields the Slug Moth is a dull brown moth, very unlike its caterpillar.
