The Garuda is a mythical bird like creature from Buddhist and Hindu mythology. Often as in this photograph the God Vishnu is mounted on the Garuda’s back.
In modern times the Garuda gives its name to the national airline of Indonesia and is one of the three national emblems of Thailand.
This photograph was taken in a museum in Thailand.
