Ao Noi is the most northerly of the three bays that form the coast on the Gulf of Thailand around Prachuap Khiri Khan town. Ao Noi like Ao Prachuap does not see many visitors to the actual beach which largely remains a working area for local fishermen. The most southerly bay, Ao Manao is where you go for water sports and beach activities.
That said the area around Ao Noi is worth exploring, since it is only a couple of miles from Prachuap, it is well within cycling distance if you are staying in town.
This photograph is actually taken from a cave entrance that sits on the hillside above the bay and Wat Ao Noi. The cave houses a Buddhist shrine.
Ao Noi has a lot of small seaside restaurants most of which specialise in fresh caught fish and there are also several reasonably priced sea front hotels in the area.
