Wood Sandpiper Thailand on mudflat

The Wood Sandpiper (Tringa glareola) is a common bird of Thailand. It is found throughout the country favouring freshwater rivers, lakes and flooded rice paddies. Occasionally like in this photograph you will find the bird on mudflats. Although the mudflats here are not natural, just the leftovers of a shrimp pond.
