Thai Temple Art Wall Painting

A wall painting in a Thai temple depicting a religious event

Thai temple wall paintings are to be found in many Wat’s throughout the country. This form of Thai art, although often quite modern, like the wall painting in today’s photograph, frequently depict scenes from the past, including historic or religious events for example.

This section of a mural was found in a wihan at Wat Kuiburi, Thailand. Viewed in a larger format you can see the intricate detail that the artist included.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1000D 55mm Lens
