Thailand Rescue Service Vehicles

Thailand rescue service vehicles funded by local temple

Thailand does not have a centrally co-ordinated rescue service for such things as road traffic accidents.

Instead individual temples and other charitable organisations provide basic cover on Thai roads. Unfortunately, as hospitals pay for the delivery of patients, competition sometimes happens between rivals groups which has led to them getting the rather unsavoury title of Thailand’s Buddhist body snatchers!

These vehicles were seen in the grounds of  Wat Kuiburi, Thailand.
