Intricate art work on a Buddhist temple door

This beautiful piece of temple door art work was photographed at a Buddhist temple in Kuiburi, Thailand. I am unsure of the process used but it appears almost burnished.

It is also similar to some other temple art work I found at Wat Satthatham Samut Songkhram.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1000D 55mm Lens
