Observation Car Orient Express-People Watching

The observation car of the Eastern Orient Express

The observation car of the Eastern Orient Express makes a fine place for people watching both for the photographer and the people on board this luxury train as it passes through Nong Hin Station, Thailand on its way South to Singapore.

Tickets for the one way 3 day trip are around $2000. So I guess for the time being at least I will just stick to people watching when the train makes it twice monthly trip through my local station.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1000D 55mm Lens

This shot has that touch of renaissance feel to it.

I should visit Thailand again. I seemed to miss a lot in the last trip

rainfield yes there is a spot of post image processing, I added some soft focus and focal B&W to try and create a sense of nostalgia from a bygone age-perhaps sepia would have worked better.

roentarre- yes I know the feeling when i have been away in the past!
