Crab Eating Macaque

Crab eating macaque at roadside in Thailand
The Crab Eating Macaque sometimes referred to as the Short Tailed Macaque is a fairly common primate here in Thailand. This particular example let me approach quite closely as he pretended not to notice me! The picture is taken in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park which is about 30 miles from my home in Thailand.

Very interesting. It must be strange to have such human-ish creatures so near all the time.

I tend to take them for granted, but its still good to photograph them sometimes.
