This large Tokay gecko lives in the roof of my house in Thailand. Tokay Gecko’s have a distinctive call, it sounds like a cuckoo(bird) with a hoarse voice calling. Although quite secretive they are sometimes aggressive and pack a nasty bite if handled.
The Tokay Gecko is also sought for use in Chinese medicine.
