Thai Monk -Washing at the Wat

Posted by Picasa
I guess that most peoples image of a Thai Buddhist monk might well be one of meditation and prayer. Well that would be true but monks also maintain the temple grounds and in the case of the photograph the temple truck!

Incidentally if you zoom the image you might also be surprised what you see in the left ear of the monk who is crouching.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoyed this photograph from Thailand. If you did why not get it delivered free by my RSS feed.

About the Photographer

My Photo
Mike Rose
I have lived in Thailand since I retired from teaching in the UK in January 2008. Home is a bungalow about 2km from the Gulf of Thailand and 8km south of the town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. I am one of the few foreigners that live in this area. I am a keen birder and photographer although I have a lot to learn about both subjects! I also enjoy blogging and visiting temples and other cultural and wildlife sites in the country. I am trying to learn the Thai language, but I think you could say that it remains a work in progress.
