Big Incense Sticks

Are these the biggest incense sticks you have ever seen? Photographed outside a Chinese temple in Penang, Malaysia, the large metal bins are where the faithful throw firecrackers.

About the Photographer

My Photo
Mike Rose
I have lived in Thailand since I retired from teaching in the UK in January 2008. Home is a bungalow about 2km from the Gulf of Thailand and 8km south of the town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. I am one of the few foreigners that live in this area. I am a keen birder and photographer although I have a lot to learn about both subjects! I also enjoy blogging and visiting temples and other cultural and wildlife sites in the country. I am trying to learn the Thai language, but I think you could say that it remains a work in progress.
