Butterfly Breakfast: Huay Yang Waterfall Thailand

As I have already said I found it extremely difficult to get decent photographs of the thousands of butterflies around the waterfalls at Huay Yang National Park, Thailand.

Today’s photograph demonstrates this point since it is by no means a perfect shot, but I have included it just to give you an idea of what I mean when I say the place was alive with butterflies. Here again you can see several species crammed together feasting on the mineral rich mud.

Equipment: Fuji Fine Pix S5000

I have to agree Mike, butterflies are very difficult to photograph, a good piture of on is well worth the effort though.

You may not think it’s a decent picture, but seeing all of those butterflies together is amazing. This is something I’ve never seen before, so it’s one of the best butterfly pictures I’ve seen.

The area is truly amazing and although I have travelled a fair bit I have never seen so many butterflies together in one spot.
