I hope you will forgive the indulgence. Today’s photograph is of my new grandson Thomas, born on Tuesday. Best wishes to my daughter Lucy and her husband Gareth on the new addition to our family.

For the record Thomas weighed in at 8 lbs and was delivered by C section in Leicester UK he is Lucy and Gareth’s first child.

If he is like my daughter then they can look forward to a few sleepless nights!
