Perfect Camouflage in Thailand

This green boxer praying mantis was on one of the small trees I keep in pots at the edge of the patio. Very hard to spot with almost perfect camouflage.

Compare this mantis with a Brown Praying Mantis.

Great capture! It’s really hard to tell from the picture.

Pretty cool. If it wasn’t centered in a photo, I’d probably miss it.

Hi Mike, I had to look twice to spot this chap. The wonders of the animal kingdom amaze us all.

Great shot! I can’t beleive you noticed him. I on the other hand, hate praying mantises. I had a bit of an argument with one in South Africa but it seems I am unable to kill bugs anymore as I made sure he made it out of the bathroom alive and intact.

They are amazing, aren’t they? We find entirely brown ones sometimes on our brown fence, dark green ones in the bushes. Daughter loves them.

  • Dusty Lens

Clever disguise, very difficult to view him.
