Thailand Enchanted Kingdom

Yesterday we visited Pra Maha Jade Pukde Prakad which is a big pagoda located at Kao Thongchai, Thailand.

This pagoda was built in honour of King Rama IX for his golden jubilee.

I think that you would probably agree that in this shot of the pagoda, viewed from a distance the building appears like an enchanted castle.

This is postcard quality. The background colour enhances the status of the pagoda.

I wonder whether Walt Disney was inspired from this scene.

Incredible photo. Doesn’t look real at all. Does anyone live there? And why is the sky that unusual color?

This is a stunning capture. I love the colour in the sky and the mood from the image!

Thank you for all the comments. I actually added a colour wash to the raw image to get the effect hence the extremes of colour.

Only resident monks occupy the building.

I choose the title with Walt Disney in mind!
