Orange Seed Pods Thailand

I came across a tree bearing these orange seed pods yesterday. I was in a very rocky area near Dan Singkhon, Thailand.

If you have any ideas what the tree is called please let me know. Whatever the result, it makes a great photographic opportunity anyway.

    I think it is not a flower, but I am not sure. The pods contain seeds so I wonder if there was a flower before them?
